Course Content
• Introduction to 3D BIM design workflows
Moving from 2D to 3D BIM workflows with Vectorworks has many benefits including maximising productivity with co-ordinated drawings, and 3D visuals.
• Hybrid 2D/3D design, walls, symbols & objects
We cover all the major hybrid tools like Walls, Slabs and Roofs showing you how to set up your models for maximum efficiency. We also cover the use of symbols and objects.
• 3D Modelling tools & Commands
We also introduce the 3D freeform modelling tools that you need to enhance your BIM models and design truly bespoke buildings, furniture and landscapes.
• Creating co-ordinated drawing sets
We explore producing fully co-ordinated drawing sets including plans, elevations sections and perspectives from your single 3D BIM model to create stunning new designs.
• Advanced presentation techniques
We cover all aspects of presentation from creating custom colour palettes to hatches, gradients and image fills, drop shadows and how to make your drawings stand out.
• Visualisation using Renderworks
Using Vectorworks Renderworks we show you how to get the best out of your models, and presentations with a range of rendering techniques to suit every requirement.
